For what its worth, the best thing I've learned here: looking carefully (and/or commenting) at other people's work lets you see through their eyes, helps you understand why they did this in this particular way, allows you to imagine what they probably liked about it, as well as what they might have been unhappy with - and, even if it is a completely different style than yours, you may get you some surprising ideas about ways you can change your own work in the process.
